Message dielectric grease before reconnecting. With a 91 and the old style injectors (assuming) look at their connectors, they are prone to corrode. I had that issue as well as green corrosion up the wires, changed to new style connectors and new style injectors (92 300ZX). Check the coolant temp sensor, as well as the throttle position sensor and adjust as needed. Use a vacuum gage and look for vacuum leaks, cracks in hoses, brake booster, etc. Check the idle control unit at the rear. Look into the PCV's for correct operation and the related hoses for no cracks. It took me awhile to work out all the bugs but finally have a Z that runs great and no gremlins.
